Man Standing Near Landscaping Vehicle Killed In Maryland Crash, Police Say

An investigation has been launched in Howard County after a man died at an area hospital following a crash on Thursday morning, police say.

Officers from the Howard County Police Department were called shortly before 8:45 a.m. on June 20 to the 10500 block of Dorchester Way in Woodstock, where there was a reported crash involving a pedestrian and a 2017 Toyota Corolla.

Police say that a man was standing next to a parked landscaping vehicle at the time he was struck.

He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, where he died later on Thursday from his injuries. The driver stayed at the scene.

No details about the victim or driver were released by the police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
